Wood Farm Primary School is looking for a friendly, efficient and professional Administrative Assistant to join our experienced and supportive office team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our busy school, helping to ensure that every day runs smoothly for pupils, families and staff.


About the Role

This is a key role within the school’s front office. Reporting to the School Business Manager and Headteacher, you will:

  • Staff the school reception, greeting parents, visitors and contractors
  • Deliver a range of administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage office systems such as email, word processing and processing deliveries
  • Maintain professionalism and calm, even during busy periods
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and confidentiality at all times


About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Essential

  • Confident, organised and able to work under pressure
  • Skilled in everyday office systems (email, filing, data entry, word processing)
  • A strong communicator with a warm, professional manner

Desirable

  • Experienced in a school office or other busy public‑facing environment


Safeguarding

This post involves working with children and access to sensitive information. An Enhanced DBS check and full background checks will be required.

Commitment to safeguarding

Ensuring that children are safe and well cared for is our highest priority. We work with parents and other agencies, including our Local Authority, to make sure that children are kept safe, both in school and beyond.
