School Administrator job summary

Dilton Marsh Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, personable and highly organised Administrator to support our school and help to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations, starting in November 2025.

Working Hours: Part Time (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year – includes Teacher Training Days). Required: November 2025

We are a happy and popular, single form entry, primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11. Located in the charming village of Dilton Marsh, we have strong relationships with the local community and Holy Trinity Church. Our staff are dedicated to providing a safe, happy, caring, creative and nurturing learning environment, where everyone is valued as an individual and encouraged to become independent and resilient learners. Our strong Christian ethos of tolerance and respect flows through the whole school. As a founding member of Acorn Education Trust in 2014, we work closely with other schools within the Trust to provide the best possible education, opportunities and support for our young people. In November 2023, we were proud to achieve a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in all categories, with inspectors praising our staff for their ‘high expectations for all pupils’.

As the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders, you will act as an ambassador for our school and be responsible for supporting with administrative and organisational processes within our setting.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Is well presented and articulate, with good communication skills;
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
  • Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
  • Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
  • Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
  • Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
  • Has a positive and flexible attitude;
  • Has experience of working in an office environment (advantageous);
  • Has sound ICT skills, including fast and accurate keyboard skills.
