School Administrator job summary

Millbrook CofE Primary School is looking to appoint a School Administrator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Set in the most beautiful location on the 'Rame Peninsula' high up on Blindwell hill, you will help to share the St Barnabas MAT “Bring It” ethos to improve outcomes for children. The role is 25 hours per week working Monday to Friday .This is a term time only role.

We are looking to appoint a School Administrator with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. Millbrook is a friendly school with an emphasis on working with the community. Our staff are welcoming and all share the “Bring It” ethos to improve outcomes for children.

The role will include: answering phones, greeting visitors, and being a point of contact for all parents and visitors.

- providing routine administrative support such as filing, photocopying, collating and taking messages, using systems and processes to ensure the smooth running of the department.

- keeping records of pupils’ attendance registers

- phoning parents, sending out letters, regarding absences and lateness

- maintaining the school website and social media accounts.

- A polite telephone manner is essential for this role, along with the confidence to meet and greet visitors.

- BromCom experience is desirable.

- Training will be arranged on the Trust’s financial software PS Financials.

Sensitivity, patience and an ability to work on your own initiative are necessary qualities, as well as the ability to work as part of our effective and caring team.

The successful candidates should also have good communication skills, a desire to facilitate children’s learning, working within a learning community and a commitment to working in partnership with parents and liaising with outside agencies. This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a real difference.

The role would be term time, Monday to Friday, totaling 25 hours a week. This is a permanent contract.
