What skills and experience we're looking for
To manage the day-to-day administrative functions of the school, including line management of administrative staff, to support the smooth running of the school. The School Business Manager is responsible for providing professional leadership and management of school support staff in partnership with teaching staff, to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the school.
To adhere to financial regulations, health and safety, data protection and other legislation relevant to duties.
The School Business Manager promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and provides a link between the DDAT Central Operations and Finance Teams and the school, ensuring the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s learning objectives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Business Manager to work at a senior level working at Bolsover Church of England Junior School. As a proud Church of England school, our village school has strong links to our local church and community. We are a proud member of the Derby Diocesan Multi Academy Trust (DDAT) and benefit from a wide range of opportunities, including partnership working, school improvement and CPD.
This is a key role for the right candidate to lead on all aspects of school business which requires close working with the Headteacher, Local Academy Committee and DDAT Central Team. The role includes line management responsibility of all support staff (MSAs, Admin staff, Cleaners, Site Supervisory staff across both schools). Also Involvement in Trust-wide initiatives and activities in Derby and Derbyshire.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in a similar role within the education sector, is ambitious, and ready for a new and exciting challenge.
