What skills and experience we're looking for

The Trustees are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced School Business Manager with a range of proven skills to join our Academy. The successful candidate should ideally have a qualification in Business Management and/or Accountancy, and be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge or experience of working within a school or an academy. Diamond Hall Infant Academy is a three-form single academy trust with a highly successful nursery provision. The school has a pan of 270 children across Reception – Year 2 and an additional 120 spaces within out nursery provision. Our children are happy and motivated to learn and are supported by a very dedicated team of staff.

The successful candidate will be a full member of the Senior Leadership Team, working in a busy environment, ensuring the smooth and successful running of the academy. The post is responsible for the strategic leadership, management and development of efficient financial, personnel, and support services, premises, estates and systems for the academy. The majority of services at the academy are delivered in-house therefore excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to deliver a high-quality service whilst under pressure.

The successful candidate will make a direct contribution to improving the effectiveness of the academy whilst dealing with the complexities that confront the academy.

  • A recognised Business qualification or appropriate experience
  • Be an effective communicator and able to work in collaboration with colleagues
  • Be flexible and resourceful, working calmly and accurately in a busy office environment
  • Has excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has good ICT skills and competence using Microsoft Office packages
  • Has a good ability to communicate effectively with young children.
