School Business Manager job summary

The role of the SBM is integral to the smooth running of the school and is a hugely varied, dynamic and rewarding position. The role holder will oversee school operations, including office management, finance, HR/payroll, premises, and health & safety. They will also support the school leadership team with strategy, manage staff and systems and ensure compliance (GDPR, safeguarding). The role also includes monitoring budgets and contracts, maintaining facilities, reporting, and communication with stakeholders.

This varied role offers the chance to make a real impact on our school community while ensuring efficient, compliant, and well-managed systems that support staff and pupils alike. You will also join a team of School Business Managers across our Trust who collaborate, share ideas and provide mutual support, while maintaining autonomy in their own schools.
