At New Hall Primary School, we believe every member of our team plays a vital role in creating a nurturing, vibrant and ambitious environment for our children to thrive. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced School Business Manager to join our team and help shape the future of our school.

This key role is central to the strategic and operational success of the school, working in close partnership with the Headteacher and Governors to ensure that all business, finance, HR and site functions are managed efficiently and with excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Highly organised, strategic and financially astute

  • A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team effectively

  • Experienced in managing school finances, HR procedures, premises and compliance systems

  • Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and adaptable to changing priorities

  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Able to model high standards of integrity, professionalism and commitment to the school’s vision and values

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic budget setting, monitoring and financial reporting to Governors

  • Management of school income streams, grant applications and costings

  • Oversight of HR processes, performance management and staff development

  • Leadership of administrative, premises, cleaning, catering and lunchtime staff

  • Health and safety compliance and safeguarding oversight

  • Responsibility for school systems including MIS and ICT infrastructure

  • Providing high-quality support to the Headteacher and wider leadership team
