School Business Manager Vacancy – Pudsey Southroyd Primary School

Pudsey Southroyd is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, highly motivated, and positive-minded School Business Manager to join our committed and friendly team. This is a key leadership role within our fantastic, forward-thinking school, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and ambitious environment.

You will work closely with the Headteacher and Governing Body to lead on all aspects of school business management, including finance, HR, health and safety, premises and site operations, and compliance.

We are proud to offer:

  • A warm, welcoming and inclusive school community where staff wellbeing is genuinely valued.

  • An exceptional and experienced office and site team to support you in your role.

  • Excellent working conditions, including a dedicated office space in our onsite Cabin.

  • Flexible working opportunities, including the potential to compress hours and work over four days per week for the right candidate.

  • A strong commitment to staff development and career progression.

  • A vibrant school culture where children are at the heart of everything we do, and staff are proud to belong.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, proactive, organised and efficient, with the ability to manage and meet deadlines.

  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and enjoys working collaboratively.

  • Brings strong financial acumen and, ideally, experience in a school or related setting (although relevant transferable experience will be considered).

  • Is committed to delivering high-quality business services to support the education and wellbeing of our children, staff and families.

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and has a strong sense of professional responsibility.

  • Wants to be part of a school that values ambition, community, and continuous improvement.

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the Headteacher directly via email: kate.prior@pudseysouthroyd.leeds.sch.uk. Available tour dates are:

  • Friday 15th August – between 10am and 12pm

  • Monday 18th to Thursday 21st August – between 9am and 11am

  • Tuesday 26th August – between 10am and 2pm

If you're unable to attend on these dates, we will do our best to accommodate an alternative time. While other staff are available to show you around, the Headteacher would be delighted to welcome you personally where possible.

Key dates:

  • Closing date for applications: Wednesday 4th September 2025

  • Shortlisting: Thursday 5th September 2025

  • Interviews: Week commencing Monday 8th September (provisionally Thursday 11th September)

We welcome all interest in the role and encourage early enquiries or visits to find out more. Further details and an application pack are available on our website: www.pudseysouthroyd.leeds.sch.uk
