Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, 41 weeks per year INSET days plus time 2 weeks over holiday periods – to be agreed with successful applicant)

Responsible to: Headteacher, alongside the Deputy Head and through the Headteacher to Governors.

Responsible for: Office Team, site team, technicians, BC/ASC Team, mid-day supervisors, catering

Thank you for taking an interest in our vacancy for a School Business Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a suitable candidate looking for significant responsibility and job variation in a demanding role.

The successful candidate will support the strategic direction of the school in respects of planning, developing and monitoring finance, personnel, premises catering and IT. However, in working at school, any situation can arise at any time which will require team work, leadership, creative thinking and a ‘hands on’ approach!

We are fortunate to have a large site which includes staff parking, a large playing field, two playgrounds, a wooded area which we will be developing into a forest school and two school halls. In the school itself, we have a recently installed sensory room and a green screen room for computer animation.

St John’s Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Deputy Head Teacher. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious, committed and vibrant leadership team.

The ideal candidate will be someone currently in the deputy role looking for new challenge, or a highly skilled, exemplary teacher with experience at senior management level.

As a key member of our Leadership team you would be involved in managing the school on a day to day basis and be expected to take the lead in key aspects of strategic school development and the raising of standards.
