School Business Manager
Stephenson Academy provides education for students both male and female aged between 9 and 16 years. We are the local SEN provision for students with social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality curriculum, truly individualised to meet the needs of our students, ensuring successful outcomes for all. We have a cohort of staff who are from all walks of life which has created a truly dynamic and diverse team.
Salary: SMKT Range 6 – 7 pt 30-36 (Point 30 - £39,513 per annum to Point 36 - £45,718 per annum)
Hours: 37 per week
Weeks: 52 (or as agreed per offer letter)
Annual Leave: 28 days or 32 days dependent upon length of service + Bank Holidays
Contract type: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Principal
Stephenson Academy (part of Stephenson MK Trust are seeking a proactive, focused and dynamic School Business Manager.
As School Business Manager (SBM) you will be responsible for managing the operation of the business functions of our school, including Finance, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration.
You will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows other members of the leadership team to focus on teaching and learning.
You will support the Principal to ensure our school runs efficiently and effectively, so all our students have the best opportunity to reach their full potential.

Stephenson Academy is a successful 80 place special school, which opened in 2012. It has a main site, which caters for 11-16 year olds. We have an associated independent sixth form provision for 16-19 year olds.
As a specialist academy we cater for students who have Education and Health Care Plans with an identified primary need of Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH), many with associated challenging behaviour. Many of our students have additional special educational needs such as speech, language and communication difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and mental health difficulties
