Newton Blossomville CE School is part of the Village Schools Federation.
The Village Schools Federation is group of five village schools providing first school education for children aged 4-7 years old. Our schools are based in beautiful village locations around Milton Keynes.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced administrator for the role of school business support. You do not need to have worked in a school setting before, although this would be advantageous. We will provide full training for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
Support the vision and values for the Federation
Provide a high standard of admin support and confidentiality at all times.
Be the face and first point of contact for the school. A welcoming, positive and friendly attitude should be demonstrated.
Be confident to work unsupervised, using your own initiative.
Demonstrate that you are an organised person with good administration skills and attention to detail.
Be proactive in seeking out additional tasks that would help the Lead Teacher and the smooth running of the school.
Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school.
This role includes day to day financial administration for the school, working under the guidance of the Federation Business Manager.
You will need to prioritise your own workload to meet the needs of both the school and the Federation.
Working within a small School you will need a flexible approach to your work and a willingness to help in every situation and may be called on to support absence cover in this school or at another school.
Whilst you will be working as the sole administrator for the school, you will be part of the wider admin team across the federation with regular interaction and support from the other school administrators.
Ideal candidates should have:
A working knowledge of SIMS and FMS school data and finance systems, although training would be provided for the right candidate.
Excellent administrative, organisational and customer service skills.
An understanding of financial processes.
Previous experience working in a school office.
Safeguarding:
The Village Schools Federation and Newton Blossomville CE School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and an online search will be carried out as part of our safer recruitment process.
Within this role you will have limited contact with children each day and this may at times include regulated activity.
We reserve the right to interview before the closing date should a suitable candidate apply. Therefore, we encourage you to apply quickly if you are interested in this vacancy.
