We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and motivated Business Support Officer to join our team.

The Role


As a Business Support Officer, you will provide vital administrative, financial, and clerical support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the school. Your responsibilities will include ( but are not limited to):


  • Maintaining and updating school systems, databases, and records
  • Supporting with financial administration such as petty cash, banking, invoices, and trip finances
  • Producing accurate management information and reports for senior leaders
  • Managing reception duties, including welcoming visitors and handling queries
  • Supporting pupil welfare, including monitoring attendance
  • Ordering, maintaining, and distributing resources and supplies
  • Contributing to the positive image and professional standards of the school

This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at pace, can balance competing priorities, and has excellent communication and organisational skills.


About You


We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has 5 GCSEs (A*–C) including English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Is confident using a range of IT packages (MS Office, Google, SIMS/FMS desirable)
  • Can prioritise workloads effectively and produce high-quality work to deadlines
  • Builds positive and professional relationships with colleagues, pupils, parents, and external partners
  • Communicates clearly and sensitively, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Brings a flexible, co-operative, and supportive approach to teamwork


Experience in a busy office environment, customer service, or finance administration would be an advantage, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
