School Caretaker job summary

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and trustworthy Caretaker to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Opening and closing the school site as required
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general DIY tasks
• Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds
• Monitoring health and safety across the site and reporting any issues
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing works where necessary
• Managing site security, including alarms and access
• Supporting with setting up rooms and spaces for school activities and events
