School Cleaner job summary

Monday to Friday 05.00 to 08.00hrs.

Main duties and responsibilities will be to clean specified areas within the school, including classrooms, toilets, corridors and to safely dispose of rubbish.

Duties may include and are not limited to:

  • Cleaning of toilets, basins
  • Mop floors
  • Vacuum and tidy classrooms
  • Use of buffer
  • Sweep corridors
  • Dusting and polishing
  • Wash worktops/ tables
  • Empty bins and safely dispose of rubbish
  • Strip and reseal floors occasionally
  • Clean inside windows occasionally

The post holder will need to

  • assist in keeping chemicals, cleaning materials and equipment storage areas in a clean and tidy condition, and that any substances are stored safely
  • liaise with the Site Manager regarding any equipment shortages and building damages/defects
