What skills and experience we're looking for
We have the opportunity to appoint a School Combined Cadet Force School Staff Instructor (SSI) to join our CCF Team at Droylsden Academy. As the SSI you will ensure that DroylsdenAcademy’s Combined Cadet Force takes every opportunity to utilise any military opportunities that could serve to complement and/or enhance the school intent for character development and outdoor education. The successful candidate will therefore oversee all training, stores, equipment, security, weapons maintenance and administration of the Academy’s Cadet Contingent together with ensuring compliance with the requirements for security as laid down in the relevant MOD publications.
In this role, working closely with the Academy’s Outdoor Education Coordinator, you will also further develop, lead and manage the outdoor and external education of our students to ensure the promotion and development of a culture of outdoor and beyond the classroom education, and to reinforce and strengthen character development.

About Droylsden Academy
Droylsden Academy is a mainstream, co-educational, non-denominational secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Droylsden, Manchester, and there are currently 850 pupils on its roll.
In September 2009, Droylsden School converted to academy status and moved into a state-of-the-art building with places for 1,200 pupils. The academy is sponsored by Tameside College and it works in partnership with the college to raise levels of attainment and the aspirations of students.
