North Herts Education Support Centre

The North Herts Education Support Centre is an Ofsted Outstanding Provider of educational programmes to support students who are at serious risk of permanent exclusion or who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream school.

The centre’s vision is to inspire and enable all students to achieve their full potential.

At KS3 the focus of centre work is to re-engage the students with their learning and reintegrate them into a mainstream school or appropriate setting. Our outreach team works closely with all primary and secondary schools in supporting students who are experiencing emotional, social, behaviour challenges that are impacting on their school success.

At KS4 students are provided with an alternative provision where it is acknowledged that a mainstream setting is not meeting their needs. Students are offered a wide variety of opportunities for accreditation, including GCSE courses (Pearsons, AQA, WJEC) and several Vocational courses (City and Guilds, BTEC, etc.)

The North Herts Education Support Centre’s success is built upon strong partnerships with schools and other services and most importantly, with young people and their parents and carers.
