Reports to:
Head of School
Job Purpose: To deliver the meals at our school. The successful applicant will ideally have previous catering experience, be flexible, proactive and have a sound knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and safe working practices.
You will:
- Have previous catering experience
- Prepare, cook and serve food and beverages to the standard required for approximately 50 pupils.
- To organise the receipt of food and drink from suppliers to the main kitchen.
- Planning of menus and liaise with the school management.
- To manage stock control of all food and drink.
- To ensure that food production is sufficient for the service and also manage wastage within the operation.
- Ensuring that the kitchen is left clean and tidy each day
- An understanding of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
- Ability to demonstrate professional behaviour within the workplace
- Ability to plan effectively and manage time to enable multi-tasking
- Ability to successfully work in a team with fantastic communication skills with adults and children
- Ability to be flexible and proactive to suit the needs of the School
- Be organised and efficient
