School Cycle Marshal job summary

The Cherwell School is a successful comprehensive school in Oxford, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. We are a leading school in terms of the number of students using their bikes to travel to and from school, with many of them using the Marston Ferry Road cycle track. We are very proud of this and believe cycling to school to be in the best interests of the majority of our students.

Travelling to school in this way does carry risks however, so the purpose of this role is to enhance the safety of our students as they arrive and leave school via the Marston Ferry Road cycle track. The School Cycle Marshal will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure control over the arrival and departure of students and to encourage appropriate and safe behaviour on the cycle track.

We are open to the possibility of a job share arrangement.
