Cunningham Hill Schools,St Albans - vacancy for a Co-opted Governor
Cunningham Hill Infant and Junior Schools are seeking a co-opted governor to join our governing body. This is a voluntary role offering the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of two thriving and successful schools.
The role of a governor:
As a member of the governing body, you will work collaboratively to:
- Set the strategic vision and direction of the federation
- Support and challenge school leadership
- Monitor educational performance and pupil outcomes
- Oversee the effective use of financial resources
This is a strategic role rather than an operational one, focused on long-term improvement and accountability. No prior experience needed, full training is provided.

The governing body typically meets 5 times per year, with additional committee meetings and occasional school visits. Some preparation for meetings and training is required.
