School Librarian job summary

The school requires a School Librarian for September 2021. The Librarian is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Library and to oversee the Library duties undertaken by the Library, Careers and Resources Assistant.

• Supervising the Library area throughout the day, including school break and lunchtimes.
• Promoting the Library and its resources.
• Assisting staff and pupils in their selection and use of materials housed in the Library.
•  Locating and acquiring resources appropriate to the planning, development and delivery of the curriculum.
• Administering an automated system for books and DVDs.

Hours of work: 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday  – Friday, term time only.

Salary Scale Grade F point 6 – 12 £19,698 – £22,183 pro rata. Actual salary per annum is £14,404.48 - £16,221.67.
