School Meals Delivery Driver (multi-drop) job summary
Acorn Education Trust is seeking a confident and reliable Driver to support our Central Team in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of school meal provision across our Wiltshire-based school sites. The role is physically demanding and will involve multiple meal delivery drops across various settings.
Working Hours: Part-time (20 hours per week, Mondays and Fridays, 38 weeks per year – no Teacher Training Days). Required: January 2026.
At Acorn, we pride ourselves on transforming education locally, with our two nurseries, seventeen primary and four secondary schools being at the heart of their local communities. As part of our Collaborative Services Team, you will play an active role in delivering school meals across our settings, and will report to the Head of Catering / Head of Estates.
The successful candidate will have a full, clean driving license, be organised and consistent, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements. Previous experience in a similar driving or delivery role is desirable.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a full, clean driving licence;
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines, prioritising and scheduling effectively and efficiently;
- Has strong interpersonal and communications skills and can liaise effectively with school staff, pupils, and external agencies;
- Has a can-do attitude with excellent practical and organisational skills;
- Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent and takes pride in their work;
- Is really strong team player who can use their own initiative;
- Is aware of health and safety requirements;
- Is physically fit (the role will require you to complete multiple drops at different sites);
- Has previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
