• Job role:
  • Learning support or cover supervisor
• Visa sponsorship: Visas cannot be sponsored
• Working pattern: Part time: This post is for Monday to Friday term time only, from 11.30am to 1.15pm (there might be slight difference in times but it will be agreed in advance), 1 hour 45 minutes each day.
• Contract type: Permanent
• Actual salary: £5,398 gross or £450 gross per month

What skills and experience we're looking for

Experience:

• Experience of supervising children as a parent or carer
• Previous experience of working with children in a caring or educational environment

Skills, knowledge and aptitude:

• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative when appropriate
• Ability to inspire trust and confidence in children
• Ability to encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times
• Respect confidential information
• Initiate games and activities appropriate to the age of the children
• Ability to remain calm in a crisis
• Empathy with the needs of children
• Child development and social interaction
• The value of constructive play
• Ability to undertake all physical aspects of the post
• Willingness to undertake first aid training

What the school offers its staff

The Vineyard Primary School is situated within extensive grounds at the top of Richmond Hill with beautiful, spacious playgrounds and a large sports field. Free parking is available for school staff. As a part of our wellbeing programme, we offer our staff a wellbeing day during term time (paid).
