School Nurse - RGN job summary

Oakgrove School have a very exciting opportunity to recruit a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to manage the Medical Room. The successful candidate will need to be a confident, flexible, self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work on their own initiative. The successful candidate must be willing to complete any necessary training. This position is 37 hours per week, Term Time plus ; the suggested working pattern is 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday (with an earlier finish on Friday) but there is some flexibility.

The main duties of the job will include:

  • Medical support for students who have health care plans
  • First aid for students, staff and visitors
  • Welfare care to the pupils and staff at our school
  • Liaising with external agencies and parents to provide a smooth service between health and education for the students’ best interest.
