PolyMAT is a small yet ambitious Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) with a unique family atmosphere. We are currently seeking a dedicated School Nurse to help us achieve our vision of “Success for Everyone.” The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our students' well-being.
We currently operate three schools within our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-established boys' school; Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls, which opened in 2019; and Bannockburn Primary School, a large and successful primary that joined the Trust on November 1, 2023. Additionally, we offer a flourishing co-educational Sixth Form provision.

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys is looking for a School Nurse to play a pivotal role in student well-being. This position offers a unique advantage: no regular nights or weekends, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential healthcare services to students.
- Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records.
- Support students with ongoing medical conditions and allergies.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external healthcare professionals as needed.
- Promote health and well-being through education and preventative measures.
- Contribute to the school’s safeguarding efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (adult or child qualification) or Qualified Nursing Associate or Healthcare Assistant with extensive experience.
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Previous experience in a school or paediatric nursing setting is desirable but not essential.
- A caring and empathetic nature with a passion for promoting health and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
