Required for September 2025

Everyone who works at Hillside Avenue Primary and Nursery School understands the importance of meeting individual needs. In the school office this means being the smiley face that parents see when they enter the school or the cheery voice on the end of the phone. School offices can be busy places and require people who are patient, calm and friendly at all times. Whilst this can sometimes be challenging, it is also rewarding and because we work in education, we are always seeking to learn and improve our practice. If this sounds like the sort of place that you would like to work, please read on.

We are seeking a confident and friendly administrative assistant for our school office, who will provide the first point-of-contact for people coming to the school. Working as part of a team of three within the school office, the role will include receptionist duties along with administration tasks such as managing school lunch orders, music tuition arrangements, and general admin support. The successful applicant is likely to be someone who is organised, approachable and willing to learn and adapt each day. We look forward to meeting you.

As part of Broad Horizons Education Trust, our school and nursery benefits from excellent CPD, support and experience from our Trust schools and central education team, and the Trust’s Professional Studies Hub.

Further information about the school is available on our website www.hillsideavenue.org and visits are encouraged too.
