School Receptionist / Admin Assistant job summary
As a school administrator you will be a friendly, enthusiastic, and well-organised individual who can build a rapport with pupils, parents, staff and visitors alike. You will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the school and we are looking to appoint a confident candidate with excellent administration and communication skills. This is a varied role covering a wide range of duties and can be challenging at times but is highly rewarding. If you are organised, sociable and thrive on busy schedules where no two days are the same, this role could be for you.
We are looking to appoint a person who:
- Has experience of working in a busy office environment
- Has previous experience of working in a school environment
- Has a cheerful, warm and welcoming personality with the ability to communicate with children and adults alike
- Is reliable, efficient, flexible, organised and able to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Is able to work as part of a team and is willing to learn
- Has GCSE Maths and English (Grace 4/C or above) or an equivalent qualification
- Good IT skills including use of Microsoft office programmes
- Has experience in school MIS systems, such as Arbor / SIMS (desirable)
- Can speak fluent English as in accordance with part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016)

This role is Term Time Only (39 weeks per year).
