This is an exciting opportunity to join Thomas Bullock CE Primary and Nursery Academy and the Nightingale Federation as a member of the team and to contribute to the continuous improvement of two DNEAT academies.
Working primarily at Thomas Bullock Church of England Primary and Nursery Academy, the School Secretary will:
- Complete office administration at Thomas Bullock
- Act as the first point of contact for the Academy.
- Provide clerical support, this to include photocopying, filing, email and answering routine correspondence.
- Maintain a variety of computerised and manual records, files, and databases (e.g. calendars, outstanding supply orders, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and provide reliable information.
The post holder will also be required to work flexibly across the Federation, and if required could be based at Lyng Church of England Primary Academy.
We are looking for someone who has:
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing to pupils, colleagues, and parents
- A good telephone manner
- To work effectively and supportively as a member of school team member
- To be able to use your own initiative to solve problems and respond proactively to unexcepted circumstances
- To show sensitivity and objectivity in dealing with confidential issues
- To work in an organised and methodical manner and maintain accurate records
A full induction will be completed with the successful candidate, including training on the academy and trust systems.
The role will be term time, plus one weeks, encompassing 5 inset days across the academic year.
