Spring Common Academy is a warm, inclusive and supportive special school, committed to improving the lives and outcomes of children and young people with SEND needs. We are seeking a highly organised, professional and approachable School Secretary & PA to the Headteacher to lead our school office and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our academy.
In this pivotal position, you will provide high-quality PA support to the Headteacher, oversee day-to-day office operations, and ensure our administrative, HR and data processes are well managed and compliant. You will be the welcoming face of the school, offering excellent customer service to pupils, families, staff, trustees and visitors, while upholding confidentiality, safeguarding responsibilities and the ethos of our community.
The role includes co-ordinating recruitment and safer recruitment checks, general HR duties, maintaining staff and pupil data on our MIS systems, supporting EHCP administration, ensuring GDPR compliance and leading the admin team to deliver an efficient and friendly service. You will need strong communication skills, resilience, attention to detail and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
