The Clare School is looking to appoint an exceptional member of staff to a new role. As part of our desire to support our pupils to engage in meaningful Work Related Learning, we opened a school shop six months ago.

We are now seeking a member of staff to help to increase the number of hours our shop is open and to support our pupils with learning activities while they are working in the shop. We are a warm and welcoming school, which has been consistently graded as Outstanding by Ofsted.

This is an exciting new role – a hybrid between running and managing our shop and supporting our pupils to gain valuable real life skills in their local community. Ideally you will have a sound background and knowledge in both retail and working in an educational setting.  Training can be provided for the right candidate in any areas where there is a lack of experience or knowledge.

Visits to the school and shop can be arranged and are warmly welcomed, please contact the school office.

Hours of work – Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week. Term Time + 4 Weeks. Initially a 1 Year Fixed Contract. Start date – September 2026.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Alison Buckle.
