What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Site Technician/Caretaker to include Grounds to join our school. This is an important role, which will help to ensure the smooth running of the school. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible, committed, friendly person with a wide maintenance/DIY skill set who is confident to manage and prioritise a busy workload. This role will involve lone working throughout the school holidays.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing efficient and effective caretaking support to the school, including site security
- Drive the school minibus as and when required. Therefore, a clean driving license is essential.
- Health & Safety Checks to ensure all statutory and compliance checks are completed, including Fire Alarms, Water Temperature Checks etc.
- Maintenance and Cleaning
o Clear blockages, deal with burst pipes, remove spillages, clean gullies, drains etc.
o First line maintenance of fixtures and fittings.
o Painting, decorating and to undertake minor repairs.
o Link with external contractors when required.
- Grounds maintenance
o Ensure school grounds are gritted/cleared of snow.
o Grass cutting, hedge cutting/trimming, weeding/spraying and line painting.
- Our Sixth form is based at Cannock Chase High and there may be times when you are required to undertake maintenance in the Sixth Form Block.
