Are you an inspirational Science specialist ready to make a real difference to the lives of young people with SEMH needs?

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified secondary Science teacher to join an amazing team of enthusiastic professionals in our specialist all-through free school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. At Bowman Academy we provide a tailored curriculum designed to prepare pupils for life after school and become,Ambitious,Respectful,Curious,Happy,Empowered &Resilient

We require an exceptional Science specialist who is highly ambitious and will ‘go above and beyond’ to ensure the children make outstanding progress in Science.

The school officially opened inAugust 2024 and is part of the Community Inclusive Trust, a Multi Academy Trust comprising of special and mainstream primary schools across Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher who:

  • Has a strong understanding of SEMH needs and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Can deliver engaging, adaptive lessons covering the secondary science curriculum.
  • Builds positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Works effectively as part of a small, supportive team.
  • Have high expectations of everyone within theschool community
  • Have knowledge and understanding of effectivebehaviour management strategies and the ability toput these into practice
  • Be a passionate, hardworking, qualified Teacher

This role would suit both experienced teachers and those looking to take their first step into a specialist SEMH setting.
