Lift Greenwood is a vibrant, successful 11-18 school situated in the heart of Castle Vale. We moved into our £20 million new build in September 2017 with world class facilities. Coupled with this is a highly professional staff and students who are keen to learn. Literacy is a significant part of every lesson. Standard written and Spoken English is insisted upon and modelled by all teachers to ensure our students can achieve their potential.

2. Expectations

We have a firm and fair approach to behaviour, systematically supported by senior staff; all pupil detentions are centralised and run by senior staff every day. Teachers are therefore able to prioritise the planning and teaching of their subject.

3. Work-life balance

We are committed to reducing teacher workload and making sure that everything we do has a positive impact on pupil learning. This means we have a slimmed-down marking policy, a centralised knowledge focused homework policy, no parents evenings and a minimal assessment, reporting and data entry cycle.
