Science Teacher job summary

As a Science Teacher, you will collaborate with the Head of Department to shape and deliver an engaging curriculum across Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. The successful candidate will inspire and motivate our students, guiding them through the curriculum while fostering critical thinking and a hands-on approach to learning. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher (UPS/MT), your passion for science and dedication to student development will play a vital role in our students' learning journey.

We are seeking a well-qualified and committed educator with:

A passion for teaching Science and a strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum.

The ability to inspire students of all abilities.

A proactive approach to professional development and a desire to enhance student progress.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific Responsibilities:

To undertake duties as described in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document. The post is otherwise subject to the Conditions of Service for School. Teachers in England and Wales, and subsequent Orders in terms of duties and working time, also any local agreements, LA Circulars and guidelines giving interpretations of teachers’ conditions of service.

To fulfill the Teachers’ Standards in England as published by the Department for Education.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote the school’s mission, aims, values and ethos, behavior policy, and other policies;

Develop and implement a dynamic Science curriculum that engages and inspires students.

Teach Science at GCSE level to a diverse range of learners.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and foster a positive learning environment.

Participate in and contribute to our extensive teacher development programs.

Perform the role of Form Tutor and carry out its attendant responsibilities;
