About Starbank

Starbank school in Birmingham is a large all through school for pupils aged 3 to 16 years old. We have over 2,000 pupils and are based across three sites in close proximity to each other. We joined Star Academies in 2020 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a talented individual to help foster a caring and supportive learning environment for our young people. Your experience of pastoral care will place our learners’ welfare at the heart of the school.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service to our community.

You will have:​

- GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above.

- Experience or working with children within an educational setting.

- Experience of supporting children within a school context.

- The ability to work one to one, in small groups and with whole classes.

- The ability to plan own role in lessons including how feedback will be provided to students and colleagues on students' learning and behaviour.
