We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly capable Science Technician to join our dedicated and talented science department at Batley Girls' High School.
The successful applicant will have previous experience of laboratory work from either a commercial organisation or a secondary school/further/higher education provider. They will have the ability to prepare materials and equipment for secondary school science and be familiar with CLEAPSS systems and COSHH regulations. A HNC/HND or science degree would be a distinct advantage.

Essential educational requirements

The role requires a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade 4 – 9 (A –C) or equivalent including English and Maths.
HND/HNC or Equivalent in Science-related subject
Essential skills and experience
Knowledge of email, internet and intranet.
The post holder requires some detailed knowledge of Trust’s Policies, processes and procedures in connection with GDPR and a willingness and commitment to ensure compliance of this regulation and any associated data-related legislation.
Knowledge and interest in Secondary Education
Reasonably Practical Level - knowledge of statutory duties with regards to safeguarding and Health & Safety obligations.
