About the Role

The Science Technician plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of an inspiring, hands-on science curriculum. You'll provide technical support to staff and students, maintain lab safety, prepare resources, and help bring experiments to life.

Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating science resources and equipment

Supporting practical lessons and demonstrations

Ensuring lab safety and compliance with COSHH/CLEAPSS regulations

Preparing chemicals and cultivating microorganisms safely

Managing stock levels and maintaining lab apparatus

Supporting events such as Science Week, open evenings, and extracurricular clubs

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Organised, proactive, and safety-conscious

Passionate about science and education

Confident working independently and as part of a team

Keen to grow professionally within a supportive school and Trust

Prior experience in a school lab or scientific setting is desirable, but not essential—we welcome applications from those looking to develop their career in education.
