Science Technician job summary

About the role:

This post plays a crucial role in supporting the wider Science department with preparation and assistance with Science-related materials as well as facility maintenance. You’ll be responsible for the preparation of a range of materials and apparatus for the Science curriculum within teaching rooms for academic staff and students. As well as this, you’ll take pride in ensuring Science facilities are maintained to a high standard, conforming to Health and Safety standards whilst also assisting in auditing the use of facilities and equipment and maintaining the equipment stores.

Key Responsibilities:

You will help ensure the effective delivery of all science experiments from KS3 to KS5

Ensure that the department is compliant with all health and safety regulations You will support the department with data handling

Help to develop the learning environment to aid in teaching and learning

Working pattern 8am to 4pm, term time.

Previous experience of a similar role desirable

Grade C/4 in Maths & English and excellent communication/ administrative skills are essential
