Science Technician job summary

Science Technician

  • Full time - 37 hours per week (38 weeks)
  • Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm; Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm
  • Term time post - some flexibility may be required for the post holder to work occasional days in school closure periods in order to prepare for the new term. This will be on an overtime basis and based on the needs of the school. To be discussed at interview.

This Science Technician post will be part of a team providing a comprehensive technician support service to staff and students undertaking the Science curriculum at Chase High School. Our Science Technicians play a key role in preparing practical lessons, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently met.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in science and strong organisational skills to contribute to a dynamic secondary school environment.

Experience is preferred, but full training will be given to the successful applicant. This role would suit somebody who is a quick learner, strong communicator and who values teamwork and collaboration. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy and varied role.
