What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who can provide administrative, practical and technical support to teaching staff in the department.

Support the teaching staff within designated subject area, to ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment.

Assist the designated class teachers/s or subject leader plan and deliver schemes of work.

Under the direction of the Head of Department to take a lead role in the design, development and maintenance of any specialist equipment or other resources to support teaching and learning activities.

To prepare and maintain classrooms, laboratories and materials for use by staff and pupils ensuring that an orderly, safe and healthy environment is provided for teaching activities.

To support teaching staff with the organisation and preparation of displays of subject materials or pupils’ work.

Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has previous experience and practical competence in the safe and proper use of science or similar equipment and experience of stock control and storage of chemicals.
