Science Technician job summary

A new opportunity has arisen for a flexible and resourceful Science Technician to join our team at Ernesford Grange Community Academy, playing a crucial role in supporting the wider Science department with preparation and assistance with Science-related materials as well as facility maintenance.

Job overview

You’ll be responsible for the preparation of a range of materials and apparatus for the Science curriculum within teaching rooms for academic staff and students. As well as this, you’ll take pride in ensuring general maintenance of laboratories and ancillary rooms.

Job requirements

  • Minimum GCSE's in Mathematics, English, and a Scientific subject
  • General knowledge of scientific equipment
  • Knowledge of good working practices and an understanding of health and safety issues
  • Ability to maintain appropriate working relationships with staff and students.
