Are you hands-on, organised, and love bringing learning to life? Our Science Department is searching for a proactive Technician to keep our practical lessons running smoothly and safely. You'll support teachers and students, prep exciting resources, maintain equipment, and help make every classroom experience exceptional.

What You'll Be Doing:

Preparing Practical Lessons: Prep materials, set up equipment, and support demonstrations that help students thrive.
* Assist with lab management: preparing solutions, maintaining equipment, tracking radioactive sources and ensuring safe handling of materials.
* Keeping Resources Running Smoothly: Organise tools and materials, track inventory, and ensure supplies are ready to go.
* Maintaining Equipment: Perform routine checks, basic repairs and keep clear maintenance records.
* Ensuring Safety: Support risk assessments, uphold safety standards and guide students in safe equipment use.
* Supporting Projects & Events: Help bring department projects, competitions and displays to life with practical expertise.
What We're Looking For (Criteria)
* Strong practical and technical skills relevant to Science.
* Excellent organisation and time-management abilities.
* A calm, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
* Confidence working with students and supporting teaching staff.
* Good understanding of (or willingness to learn) health & safety procedures.
* Ability to maintain equipment, manage resources and keep accurate records.
