We have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional Science Technician - part time to join our team here at Parkwood E-ACT Academy, to provide technical support to teaching staff and ensure a safe and clean working environment to facilitate high-quality teaching within the science faculty
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with preparation of resources and equipment for lesson delivery on a daily basis
- Assist in lessons as required during practical sessions
- Develop apparatus and equipment for use in practical sessions and provide technical advice and assistance to teaching staff as required regarding resources for practical work and demonstrations
- Retrieve, clear and clean equipment, including disposal of waste material in line with established guidelines
- Ensure and promote the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment
Pay range:
SCP6-12 (£17,038.75 - £18,841.54 - FTE: £23,893- £26,421)
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 GCSEs including English & Maths
- Relevant qualification in Science or related subject (ideally level 5 or above)
- Experience of working within a Science department
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations
