What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Science Technician to join our Science and Computer Science Faculty.

The successful candidate will ideally hold an A-level in a science related subject. Practical experience and a demonstrable track record of working in a school environment would be highly advantageous and a confident and positive manner when support young people is a requirement. Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.

The Science department is a successful, dynamic and forward-thinking department with a strong emphasis on continuing professional development. The team prides itself on its innovation and excellence in moving practice on to support student development and encouraged to constantly reflect and share ideas.

Science education is a strongly practical subject at Winchcombe School and experiments and demonstrations are indispensable in enriching the curriculum being taught by our teachers. As a Science Technician you will play an active role in the lessons that you support and be an integral member of the team.

Winchcombe School (part of the Balcarras Trust) is a successful and thriving comprehensive academy for students aged 11 to 16 years.
