What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a talented teacher of maths with strong subject knowledge and a passion for bringing their subject to life for our students. The successful candidate will support the Head of Maths in designing and delivering a high-quality curriculum across the key stages, particularly at A-Level where Maths and Further Maths are taught. They will also support the department more widely in extra-curricular and enrichment work. The role would serve as excellent preparation for future progression towards a Head of Maths role or other leadership opportunity.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a model of good practice in the teaching of Maths from KS3-5
- Have the skills and experience to support curriculum development and to promote high standards within the maths department.
- Be actively supportive of the Catholic values and beliefs of St John Bosco College and to make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Second in Charge of Maths, with a strong back ground in A-Level teaching, to join this Catholic 11 – 18 comprehensive school judged “Good” by Ofsted in October 2022 and “Outstanding” by the Archdiocese of Southwark in 2019.
