The Second in English is responsible for supporting the Head of Department to create and develop a shared sense of vision and purpose and maintaining high professional standards in the team. The role requires someone who is an excellent teacher, has an ability to think and act strategically, and has an ability to motivate members of the department. A keen commitment to achieving academic success at the same time as developing an innovative, progressive and vibrant programme of extracurricular and enrichment activities that develop engagement amongst all the students at Southlands High School.
