Second in Maths job summary

Saracens High School is a secondary school which opened in September 2018 for 156 Year 7 pupils, growing each year until the school is full in 2024. We serve a wonderfully diverse community in the Colindale area of North London, which also has exceptional transport links with the Northern Line (Colindale) and mainline trains (Mill Hill Broadway), and easy access to the M1 and A1.

We are looking for an exceptional Maths teacher to join our team and take on this position of leadership, helping us to develop as the school enters its fourth year, and continues to grow. This coincides with us moving into our new state of the art building.

You will take on specific responsibilities within the team, and will help to create an exciting and challenging curriculum, to ensure that our pupils can attend the best Universities or successfully compete for sought-after apprenticeships. Our school values of discipline, hard work, honesty, and humility are embedded in our lessons and in every area of school life.

You will have excellent communication skills, a record of outstanding teaching in their classroom, a proven record of achieving excellence for all, and be committed to helping shape a growing team and be aligned with the values that underpin all we do at Saracens High School.

You will be helping to create a distinctive culture and philosophy so that from the moment someone enters the school, they will know this is where the learner is empowered to 'be the best that they can possibly be'. The individual abilities of each pupil are recognised and coaching for life skills, as well as academic excellence, is at the core of all we do.
