Second in Science job summary

We are seeking to appoint a innovative, passionate and forward-thinking leader as Second in Science to help make a positive impact on the young people at our school.
The main purpose of the role will be to work under the direction of the Director of Science to improve the quality of the curriculum in science, implementing staff materials to support teaching and providing training to develop the standard of teaching.
The successful candidate should already have some experience of leading teachers and will be eager to develop their leadership skills by working alongside an excellent Director of Science to ensure all pupils have the best possible experience of science at Wednesfield Academy. They will also be able to work collaboratively ensuring that good practice is being shared with colleagues within their department and beyond.
