What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Secondary Maths Teacher to join our committed team. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges. Working in small classes, you will focus on building confidence, fostering engagement, and ensuring progress in maths while promoting emotional well-being.
Duties include the following: -
- Prepare teaching materials, set up the classroom and organise displays supporting the current curriculum
- Nurture and counsel learners and help them make sense of their intellectual, emotional and social needs
- Talk to parents/carers about their children's progress
- Follow safeguarding procedures and work with outside agencies to support the pupils learning
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school’s values and vision.
