The Queen Katherine School is part of Cumbria Education Trust. The Queen Katherine School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Science, preferably Chemistry, to join our dedicated and successful team. The candidate should be an excellent classroom practitioner, reflective in their teaching practice and focused on getting the best from every student across all key stages of the secondary curriculum.

What we are looking for:

Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Bed)

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science, Chemistry preferred

Ability to teach the full age and ability range, including A level

Ability to deliver creative, engaging and challenging lessons

Excellent written and oral communication skills in a variety of contexts

Ability to work in a close-knit team

Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and achievement and continuous review and curriculum development.
