Secondary Teacher Ready for a New Challenge?

Weatherfield Academy is a 7-19 SEN Academy supporting pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties and additional needs. We teach in small classes of around 12, allowing teachers to build strong relationships and deliver engaging, meaningful learning.

We are looking for passionate, curious and committed teachers — from mainstream or special education backgrounds — who want to make a real difference. SEN experience is welcome but not essential; full training and ongoing development will be provided.

We’re seeking teachers who:

  • Believe great teaching should be exciting, practical and hands-on
  • Have a child-centred approach and high aspirations for young people
  • Enjoy learning, reflecting, and developing their practice
  • Are confident working with and managing support staff
  • Want to play an active role in a collaborative school community

This role is primarily class-based, with opportunities to develop expertise within SEND education and grow professionally.

If you’re passionate about teaching, motivated by challenge, and excited by the chance to learn something new, we’d love to hear from you.

School visits are warmly welcomed.

Applications close - May 14th
